We feel very fortunate to call the Roaring Fork Valley home. The Roaring Fork of Colorado is arguably the best freestone river in the West for fly fishing. The Ute Native Americans called it the Thunder River. It’s fast because of its steep grade, which keeps oarsmen and anglers on their toes. The “Fork” flows into the Colorado in Glenwood Springs, and the fishing from there down continues to be some of the best.
