Meet Our Guides
Lincoln Neiley
Owner & Guide
Lincoln has been a guide in the Roaring Fork Valley for 20 years. Born and raised in the valley, he learned to fish as a small boy and has never had a season he couldn't be found on the water.
After graduating high school, he took a job working at a well-known fly shop in Basalt, where he learned the trade under the tutelage of Tim Heng. His brother Ry and lifelong friend Taylor Logson were guides in their second year when Lincoln joined the ranks. In the years he attended Colorado State University, he would return to the Roaring Fork Valley to guide in the summers. After graduating, he returned, and he hasn't stopped since.
Mike Thomas
Guide
Mike was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, and was introduced to fishing by his father and both of my grandfathers. At age 10, one of his grandfathers taught him how to cast a flyrod for bluegill and bass in small farm ponds.
Mike started guiding on the South Platte River outside of Denver at the age of 22 and immediately thought he had the best job imaginable. He started visiting friends in the Roaring Fork Valley to fish different waters and was completely amazed by the countless miles of water that all fished differently and challenged him as a young angler.
Mike moved to the valley in 2000 to start guiding the area waters. He started out wading for two years but learned to row as fast as he could and bought his first boat as soon as he could save enough money.
Today, Mike is at his best leading a float trip from Jaffee Park to Parachute. When his clients ask him what he likes to do on his days off the answer is always the same and 100% true. He says, “ I go fishing.”
Jeremy Stott
Guide
Born in Lewistown, Montana, Jeremy moved to Glenwood Springs at age eleven. Corruption came early in Jeremy's youth as he enrolled in one of Tim Heng's fly-tying classes that same year. Jeremy learned to fly fish on local creeks and the Colorado and Roaring Fork Rivers. Honing his fishing, tying, and rowing skills through youth prompted his future calling as a guide.
After high school graduation at age eighteen, Jeremy's career as a fly fishing guide began. It took him only two seasons of guiding in the Roaring Fork Valley to realize this was not a seasonal or short-term endeavor. Since then, Jeremy has made this dream a reality as he guides year-round.
When Jeremy is not floating his beloved Colorado or fooling the selective trout of the Frying Pan with his "trick patterns," you can find him guiding in the San Martin Region of Argentina on famed waters such as the Malleo and Chimehuin.
Jeremy's energy and exceptional skills make for a memorable experience on the water, wherever you may be fortunate enough to fish with him.
